Our Story

Hoover Learning Group was started in 2011 when Director, Natalie Hoover, moved from Texas to Tennessee. She soon realized that students with reading disabilities were, at the time, largely an underserved population. Certified as an Academic Language Therapist and licensed as a Dyslexia Therapist, Natalie first set out provide dyslexia therapy services to local students. It soon became apparent that there were too many students to serve and not enough teachers that were trained to serve them. She eventually offered training at the therapy level to instructors in Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Reading Disabilities. To date, instructors at Hoover Learning Group have served hundreds of students in dyslexia therapy and across all academic disciplines. It is the mission of Hoover Learning Group to continue on the path of making literacy available to everyone.
